Post subject: Buddy is back
Archived from groups: alt>pets>dogs>aussies (more info?)

Hello all,
Last week or so I posted that Buddy was to go in and get his heartworm
treatment done. Well he's home, very sore but happy to be home. He in being
crated in my bed room away from all the normal activity. He has been
provided with a chew toy to keep him busy while crated but he has never
been crated for so long, any ideas for dogs on crate rest. What chew toys
would be the best and how much peanut butter has any one given a dog? I
think if I can keep him busy for no less then two hours a day he will be ok.

His new owner is coming over Saturday to sit with him and I'm excited for
them both. Very few new owners actually help with the recovery process of a
rescue dog. They usually come in after all that is said and done. I think
this will make them closer.
